Selection Procedure for General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) - Officers Post: 

    1. Candidates can apply on or before  24.01.2015.
    2. The selection for the above post shall be on the basis of shortlisting of the candidates based on Written Test and performance in Group Discussion and interview. The total marks for Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200.
    3. Competitive written examination will be held at 04 centres in India viz. Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta and Delhi tentatively on Sunday, 1st March, 2015 The candidate may choose any one of the following centres, which must be indicated in the Application Format clearly. No change of the centre will be allowed at a later date. Corporation reserves the right to direct candidates to appear at a centre other than the one chosen by them for written examination without monetary assistance. Corporation also reserves the right to hold the written examination at some and not all the examination centres listed below depending upon the number of candidates and other relevant factors.

181 வனப் பணியாளர்கள் விரைவில் நேரடியாக நியமனம்

தமிழக அரசின் வனத்துறையில் 181 பணியாளர்கள் விரைவில் நேரடியாக நியமிக்கப்பட உள்ள தாக மாநில வன சீருடைப் பணியாளர் தேர்வுக்குழு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
தமிழக அரசின் வனத்துறையில் வனவர் (ஃபாரஸ்டர்), வன காப்பாளர் (ஃபாரஸ்ட் கார்டு), வனக்காவலர் (ஃபாரஸ்ட் வாட்சர்) ஆகியோர் இதுவரை மாவட்ட வேலைவாய்ப்பு அலுவலக பதிவு மூப்பு அடிப்படையில் தேர்வு பட்டியல் பெறப்பட்டு அதில் இடம் பெற்றவர்களுக்கு தேர்வு மற்றும் உடல்திறன் தேர்வு நடத்தப்பட்டு தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு வந்தனர்.
இந்த நிலையில் காவல்துறை, தீயணைப்புத் துறையினரை தேர்வு செய்ய தமிழ்நாடு சீரு டைப் பணியாளர் தேர்வு வாரியம் இருப்பதைப் போல வனத் துறை ஊழியர்களை தேர்வு செய்வதற்காக தமிழ்நாடு வன சீருடைப் பணியாளர் தேர்வுக்குழு என்ற புதிய தேர்வு வாரியத்தை தமிழக அரசு புதிதாக ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
இந்த தேர்வு வாரியம் மூலமாக முதல்முதலாக 165 வனவர்களும், அரசு ரப்பர் கழகத்துக்கு 16 கள உதவியாளர்களும் (மொத்தம் 181 காலியிடங்கள்) தேர்வு செய் யப்பட இருக்கிறார்கள். இதற்கான அறிவிப்பை மாநில வன சீருடை பணியாளர் தேர்வுக்குழு வெளி யிட்டுள்ளது. பிஎஸ்சி, பி.இ. பட்டதாரிகள் இதற்கு விண்ணப்பிக் கலாம். வயது 21 முதல் 30-க்குள் இருக்க வேண்டும். இடஒதுக்கீட்டுப் பிரிவினருக்கு வயது வரம்பு 35 ஆக நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
முதலில் எழுத்துத் தேர்வும் அதில் வெற்றிபெறுவோருக்கு உடல்திறன் தேர்வும், நேர்முகத் தேர்வும் நடத்தப்படும். எழுத்துத் தேர்வு பிப்ரவரி 22-ம் தேதி அன்று நடைபெற உள்ளது. இதற்கான விண்ணப்ப படிவங்கள் ஜனவரி 2-ம் தேதி முதல் குறிப்பிட்ட தபால் அலுவலகங்களில் விற்பனை செய் யப்படும். விண்ணப்பிக்க கடைசி நாள் ஜனவரி 31-ம் தேதி ஆகும்.
விண்ணப்பிப்பது எப்படி?
விண்ணப்பம் வழங்கப்படும் தபால் அலுவலகங்கள், தேர்வு முறை, பாடத்திட்டம், தேர்வு மையங்கள் உள்ளிட்ட விவரங் களை தமிழக அரசின் வனத்துறை இணையதளத்தில் (www.forests.tn.nic.in) தெரிந்து கொள்ளலாம் என்று மாநில வன சீருடைப் பணியாளர் தேர்வுக்குழு அறிவித் துள்ளது.

காவல்துறையில் காலிப்பணியிடங்களை நிரப்ப தமிழ்நாடு சீருடை பணியாளர் தேர்வு வாரியம் முடிவு

சென்னை: தமிழக காவல் துறையில், 1,365 எஸ்.ஐ.,க்கள் உட்பட, 14,443 பணியிடங்களை நிரப்ப, தமிழ்நாடு சீருடை பணியாளர் தேர்வு வாரியம் முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. அதற்கான அறிவிப்பு, விரைவில் வெளியாக உள்ளது.
தமிழகத்தில், 1,450 காவல் நிலையங்கள்; 200 போக்குவரத்து; 190 மகளிர்; 70 புறக்காவல் நிலையங்கள் உள்ளன. அதில், 1.22 லட்சம் பணியிடங்கள் உள்ளன. தற்போது, ஒரு லட்சத்து, 184 பணி இடங்களில் மட்டுமே போலீசார் பணியாற்றுகின்றனர். கூடுதல் டி.ஜி.பி., முதல் காவலர் வரை, 20,716 காலிப்பணியிடங்கள் உள்ளன.
மக்கள் தொகைக்கு ஏற்ப...
தேசிய அளவில், மக்கள் தொகைக்கு ஏற்ப, 7,000 பேருக்கு, ஒரு போலீஸ்காரர் உள்ளனர். ஆனால், தமிழகத்தில், 600 பேருக்கு, ஒரு போலீஸ்காரர் உள்ளார். தேசிய அளவை காட்டிலும், இது அதிகம் என்றாலும், குற்றங்களின் அடிப்படையில், காவலர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையை உயர்த்த வேண்டிய கட்டாயம் ஏற்பட்டது. அதற்காக, கடந்த 2011ல், எஸ்.ஐ., தேர்வு நடந்தது. அதன்பின், 2012ல், இரண்டாம் நிலை, சிறை காவலர்கள், தீயணைப்பு வீரர்கள் என, 13,320 பேர் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
சீருடை பணியாளர் வாரியம்

மேலும், பொதுப்பிரிவு இளைஞர்கள், 28 வயதை கடந்து விட்டால், எஸ்.ஐ., பணியில் சேர முடியாது என்ற விதி உள்ளதால், தேர்வு தேதி எப்போது வரும் என்று காத்து கிடந்தனர். அவர்களின் நெஞ்சில் பால் வார்க்கும் வகையில், காலிப் பணியிடங்களை நிரப்ப, அரசிடம் இருந்து, நல்ல அறிவிப்பு வந்து இருப்பதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
886 எஸ்.ஐ., தேர்வாகின்றனர்
இதுகுறித்து தமிழ்நாடு சீருடை பணியாளர் தேர்வாணைய வட்டாரங்கள் கூறியதாவது: கடந்த, 2012 - 13க்கான காலி பணியிடங்கள் குறித்து, அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களில் இருந்தும் தகவல்கள் பெறப்பட்டுள்ளன. அந்த அடிப்படையில், 13,078 போலீசார், 886 எஸ்.ஐ.,க்கள், 277 தொழில்நுட்ப எஸ்.ஐ.,க்கள், 202 கைரேகை பதிவு ஆய்வாளர்கள் என, மொத்தம் 14,443 இடங்களை நிரப்ப அரசு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. அதற்கான பணிகளை விரைவுபடுத்தியுள்ளோம். இவ்வாறு அந்த வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவித்தன.

CAT 2014 exam results to be declared next week

CAT 2014 exam results are expected to be out next week. The exam helps candidates get admission to any of the IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management).
Scoring and Equating:
The scores of the candidates shall be subjected to a process of Normalization. The process to be implemented will adjust for location and scale differences of score distributions across different forms and the scaled scores obtained by this process shall be converted into percentiles for purposes of short listing candidates.
While reporting the result, scaled scores for each section (Section I: Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, section II: Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning) and total score along with the percentile shall be published.
Normalization process of scoring is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multiple Forms and is adopted by other large educational selection tests conducted in India such as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Marking Scheme:

For each correct answer, three points were awarded to the examinee. That means, the total maximum score in CAT 2014 will be 300 since the total number of questions will be 100. The test had two sections of 50 questions each. The two sections were - Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI) and the other section included Verbal Ability (VA) and Logical Reasoning (LR).
For each incorrect answer , one point is deducted. There will be no penalty for questions that were left unanswered.

Kerala TET 2014 results declared

Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala has declared results for Kerala-Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) 2014. The results can be checked on the official website of Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala.
The K-TET 2014 was conducted on September 27, 2014 and October 18, 2014. K-TET is conducted to assess the quality of teacher candidates for Lower Primary (Category I), Upper Primary (Category II), High School (Category III) classes and Category IV (for Language Teachers-Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft) & Physical Education teachers in Kerala.
Teacher Eligibility Test is mandatory to ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at all levels.
A person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools approved by the Department of General Education, Government of Kerala, has to qualify the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test.
