The East Central Railway has released a notification inviting interested and eligible candidates to apply for the posts of constable (band) in the Railway Protection Force or Railway Protection Special Force. The eligible candidates may apply online in the prescribed format within April 18.

Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification:
The candidates should possess a matriculation certificate or equivalent from a recognised board or university with relevant experience in specified musical instrument.
Age limit:
The upper age limit of the candidates must not exceed 25 years as on July 1. However ,age relaxation is applicable according to the government rules.
Selection process:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of the examination conducted by the organisation. However, there will be bonus marks for NCC/sports certificates and height.
How to apply:
Examination fee:
The candidates have to pay Rs 50 in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order/ Bank Draft payable in favour of Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer, East Central Railway, Hajipur. However, there will be no examination fee for SC/ST categories, female and ex-servicemen candidates.
The eligible candidates may send their application in the prescribed format to the 'IG Chief Security Commissioner, East Central Railway, Hajipur, Bihar, Pin Code- 844101'.
Important dates:
The last date for the submission of application is April 11, and for the people living in remote areas, it is April 18.
