UPSC Mains Exam(2014): Download E-Admit cards, exam to be held on December 14

The Union Public Service Commission has released the E-Admit cards for  (UPSC) Mains, 2014.Candidates appearing for the exam can now download the admit cards from UPSC's website by either entering their Registration Id, Roll Number or Name.
Only those aspirants, who have cleared the preliminary examination are eligible to appear for the mains exam. Mains 2014 is due to be held on December 14, 2014. UPSC will not disseminate any  admit cards, thus candidates must ensure to download and check the cards from website and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of UPSC before the mains exam.
With few days left for the exam, aspirants must be ready with all the required preparations for the examination. The mains examination will be a written test with a total of 1750 marks. Candidates clearing the mains examination will be called for the personal interview, which is the final selection for various posts in the UPSC, according to the grades acquired by the candidate.
The UPSC (Mains) this year has a revised pattern and consists of the papers as mentioned below:
Paper 1 - Essay
It is of 250 marks, which can be written in any medium or language of candidate's coice.
Paper 2 - General Studies-I

The paper is of 250 marks involving Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society
Paper 3 - General Studies -II
The paper is of 250 marks involving Technology, Economic Development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management
Paper 4 - General Studies -III 
The paper is of 250 marks involving Technology, Economic Development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management
Paper 5 - General Studies -IVThe paper is of 250 marks involving Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude
Paper 6 - Optional Subject - Paper 1
Paper 7 - Optional Subject
 - Paper 2
